To disable public comments on a Facebook video post, follow these steps:
Log in to your Facebook account and navigate to the video post where you want to disable public comments.
Click on the three-dot menu icon located at the top right corner of the post.
From the drop-down menu, select "Edit Post."
In the editing options, you will find the "Audience" section. Click on the audience selector dropdown, which is typically displayed as a globe icon.
Select "More Options" from the dropdown menu.
A new window will appear with additional audience options. Look for the "Allow Comments" section.
By default, the "Everyone (Public)" option is selected. To disable public comments, choose one of the following options:
- "Friends": This option allows only your friends to comment on the post.
- "Friends of Friends": This option allows your friends and their friends to comment on the post.
- "Only Me": This option restricts comments to yourself only, effectively disabling public comments.
Once you have selected the desired option, click on the "Save" button to save the changes.
After following these steps, public comments will be disabled on the Facebook video post, based on the audience option you selected. Only the chosen group (Friends, Friends of Friends, or Only Me) will be able to leave comments on the post.
It's worth noting that these settings can be adjusted at any time by repeating the steps above and selecting a different audience option.
